The Gav-Yam Negev advanced technologies park presents a unique and groundbreaking model of partnership between the public and business sector, and the conjunction of technological R&D, local government, and leading industries and businesses from Israel and abroad. The partners in this enterprise are the Gav Yam company, Ben Gurion University of the Negev, the Beer Sheva municipality, the KUD international development company, and private partners, with support from the Israeli government.
The Gav-Yam Real Estate Company
Gav-Yam is of the largest and oldest real estate companies in Israel, and is the leader in establishment of high-tech and employment parks
The company was founded in 1928 and deals with gainful assets in initiation, development, construction, leasing, maintenance, and management of advanced technology and business parks, office buildings, commercial areas, logistics buildings, and parking lots throughout Israel.
The company specializes in creating the perfect working environment for advanced technologies, while adapting buildings and services to the needs of their inhabitants. The company has an extensive reputation in the field of tailor-made construction, unique relations with its customers on the basis of reciprocal partnership and accountability, and the highest standards of professionalism, quality, and reliability. The company owns and manages more than one million square meters of properties around Israel, leased to over 450 clients, including leading companies from Israel and abroad.

Capital of the Negev and Israel’s Capital of Opportunities
Beer Sheva is a nationally significant metropolis with regard to history, economics, education, culture, and development of the Negev, and it strives to reinforce these fields. The city of Beer Sheva, which is one of the founding partners of the advanced technologies park, provides a unique arena for opportunities guaranteeing the conditions you need to succeed: consultation for companies and entrepreneurs; discounted city taxes; development of public transportation infrastructures to and from the city; support of academic institutions; construction permits for entrepreneurs to vary and increase the supply of residential areas; incentives for the thousands of students who graduate annually in the Negev; and an advanced, high-quality educational system. The city of Beer Sheva is home to approximately 210,000 residents, half of whom are under the age of 35, and the city embodies a young and pioneering spirit. Furthermore, the city is a metropolitan center, providing services for the population of the entire region, of more than half a million people.
Ben Gurion University
Ben Gurion University of the Negev is a leading research university in multiple fields of research, both in Israel and internationally.
The university has over 20,000 students pursuing various degrees, as well as approximately 4,000 members of faculty, approximately half in engineering, computers, and advanced sciences. The university has some of the world’s most advanced research facilities, in fields ranging from engineering and computer science, through psychology and neuroscience, to natural sciences and medicine. The university has over 60 centers of excellence in various fields of research relevant to industry, including engineering and computer science, cyber, AI and machine learning, IoT, robotics, nanotechnology, alternative and renewable energy, autonomous vehicles and smart transportation, bio-technology, psychology, neuroscience, etc. The various institutes within the university include the National Center for Cybertechnology Research, the National Institute of Biotechnology in the Negev, the National Institute for Solar Energy; the Institute for Nanometric Science and Technology, the Desert Study Institutes, and more. Approximately one third of Israel’s high-tech personnel are presently assessed to be BGU graduates. The university, as one of the park’s founding partners, holds numerous collaborations with the park’s management and the companies in it, including specialized training programs for students and graduates, collaborative research and integration of researchers and graduate students in the park’s companies, training programs and unique academic programs for postgraduate studies for employees and management of the high-tech companies in the park, spotlight events and job fairs, and lectures given by executives in the companies to students as a part of various academic programs.
KUD
International Strength and Experience
The American KUD company is a subsidiary of the Japanese mega corporation, Kajima, one of the world’s largest construction, development, and design corporations, which was founded over 200 years ago. The company focuses on partnership with the public sector for the establishment of multipurpose projects, which are uniquely challenging in their size, specific purposes, complexity, and the need for a significant scale of financing. The company has a great deal of experience developing and establishing mixed-use projects around the world, including science parks, unique buildings for higher education, libraries, museums, and stadiums. The company works with its clients to form the vision of the project along with a structured plan for its realization. This is the company’s first project in Israel.
